Dr. David Nakata, D.C.
Dr. Nakata, a fourth generation Japanese-American was born in Seattle and raised in the Pierce County community of Graham. His high academic achievements, along with his athletic awards in tennis and basketball, earned him scholarships that helped him complete his science requirements at the University of Washington.
He was accepted at the Palmer College of Chiropractic-West and finished a four year program in three years, graduating cum laude and placing 7th in the 1992 graduating class of 125 chiropractors.
In February of 1993, David was very fortunate to be able to assume the practice of Dr. Gordon Mendenhall, noted as one of Seattle's finest chiropractors for over 20 years. He renamed the clinic "Ballard Wellness Clinic" to emphasize his positive approach to health and life.
In his free time, you will often find Dr. Nakata with his family. He enjoys coaching his son, Brandon, in basketball and soccer. Watching his son, Colten, excel as a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do or watching his daughter, Hope's, premier soccer team. If he ever gets a chance to get away with his wife, Nikki, they enjoy watching movies and going out to eat.
